A good deed on a cold day

Two SIAST students from the Primary Care Paramedics program from SIAST Wascana Campus acted as good Samaritans towards an elderly couple.

Eric Brown and Jack Rennie helped an elderly man shovel his walk the day following the big snow storm that hit Regina in late January.

“The man and his wife were very appreciative of what they did and invited them into their home for a visit,” said Trena Bien, a Registration Services representative at the campus.  “This gentleman was very impressed with how pleasant these young men were.”

Although the man could not remember the students’ names, he contacted Registration Services to track them down and pass on his thanks and praise to these two students.

Primary Care Paramedic is a certificate program offered at SIAST.  It prepares the student to be an integral part of the health care team working in the field of prehospital emergency care.
