Welcome to the Nursing Division website. There has never been a better time to consider a career in nursing and there’s no better place to get your education than at SIAST. I invite you to come and experience what quality education is all about.

We offer 16 innovative and award winning programs to more than 5,000 students. We take great pride in providing our students with education that is accessible, relevant and responsive. Our programs are offered throughout the province through on-campus delivery, in the community, online, videoconferencing, and by print distance.

Through the innovative use of simulation, students have the opportunity to develop their critical thinking and clinical practice skills. We celebrate the success of our students and are proud of the quality of our graduates.

Nursing is a dynamic and rewarding profession that offers a variety of career options. Our graduates develop a career as a registered nurse, RN nurse practitioner, psychiatric nurse, licensed practical nurse, and specialize in critical care and perioperative nursing. We also offer programs in occupational health and safety and diabetes education.

We are continuously expanding the capacity of our programs to increase access to education. We also develop new programs to meet the growing and changing needs of the health care system.
