Strategic Directions
The Nursing Division serves the community by advancing health through excellence in student-focused nursing and health education program delivery provincially, nationally and internationally while maintaining and advancing its reputation for high standards, quality, relevance, responsiveness and accessibility. The Nursing Division is characterized by collaboration, innovation and pro-action.Divisional priorities include:
- Collaborate with the University of Regina for the development and delivery of the Saskatchewan Collaborative Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
- Develop and implement innovative faculty recruitment and retention initiatives that support SIAST as the employer of choice.
- Integrate intra/interprofessional education into nursing curricula and support initiatives that enrich learning and prepare graduates to work in a primary health care environment.
- Develop strategies to enhance recruitment and success of Aboriginal and international students.
- Advance innovative partnership and strategic alliances.
- Encourage and support strategies that advance scholarship and applied research.
